yes it is true and i am one of the record holder . they have sent me a certificate for the record download as i also downloaded the firefox 3 on download day and the exact no of download is 8,002,530

I guess it is a very good news for the team to know that their product is being used by so many people but I think it is very less in number if you consider the fact that his browser is being used worldwide and it is getting popular day by day. I guess that was the day when Firefox officially or an officially announced the release of beta version for the third version of Firefox and I guess that it is reason why they had so many downloads in a single day. Apart from that I even got to e-mail deriding the same telling me to download the software because a lot of people are doing the same on this very seemed in so that they can get a very good response. And to encourage them and even downloaded although I'm not particularly using the latest version because there are some plug-in problems with the same and I cannot serve the net without those plug-ins.

Well I am an old Mozilla user and I can confirm this. The download day on 17th of june was a complete success. More than 8 million and 2 thousand users downloaded the new firefox version that day, and helped set up a guinness world record. My browser is mozilla firefox. I used to be an internet explorer user but viruses always gets in my computer that is why I decided to switch.It gives me security and since I started using this browser (with the help of anti-virus of course) my problems with viruses became minimal. I agree with those saying that this is the best browser.

yeah its true mozilla is the best browser in the world today. Sometime early this year mozilla's server got crashed coz of heavy traffic and heavy downloads earlier this year and it even recorded a million downloads earlier this year

It might be true because mozilla firefox is in so much demand that everyone in the world will use it.Very few people who dont know about firefox uses internet explorer b**ss.
