why are mouse fond of cheese?

I think there is some aroma in cheese which works so well with the rat kingdom generally-once we had so many rats in our house, and we didnt have any cats, so we would by traps and use chees as baits, we almost finished the rats overnight!

Yeah I know it is kind of funny that in all the old cartoons mice are always drawn to cheese,and though some mice in real life do go for cheese,I think it was just a ploy by the animators to help with the humor of the cartoon,especially in cartoons like the classic Tom and Jerry,and whenever we have a mouse,we always set some traps with cheese,and some with peanut butter,and it seems like they usually go for the traps with peanut butter in them,and usually the mice are pretty smart,so it makes it harder to catch them.

Cheese is very decilious and has a strong smell.Mice like sweet and their noses are very good.

Recently I had a mouse in my house and someone told me these days mice bypass cheese and the best thing to put on the traps is peanut butter so maybe the mouse has changed their menus...
