I want to change my sexuality

IT IS NOT MY INTENTION TO OFFEND ANYONE.
I couldn't find a interests section for envy so this one will have to do. On Saturday we went to a party. Quite a swish one where the champagne was real (and flowed) and the people were all "lovely". There were a number of homosexual couple at this do. Pleasant chaps all. However, I noticed with some interest that all the seriously smart cars were owned by this group. £80,000 ($160,000) Mercedes, BMW 4x4s, some classic old cars, all of them belonged to these chaps. Now I have no real idea what they do - probably films or publishing or aircraft in some way. But I was ENVIOUS. I hate that in myself. But just for while. Can I get some of that please. LOL.

No you can't because married men with children are not allowed to keep enough money to have these things. You just make sure the bills are paid and the family get what they want then maybe you can have a bike.

Amen to that. I have often wanted to become someone else also because they seem to have a better life than I do. I am sure they all have problems but not the same as what I have to deal with. I think I would like to live the highlife for one day at least, also.

I'm not sure how they do it. My husband and I work our rearends off seven days a week right now just to make it and get by. We do have nice things but we work very hard for it but none of it is high dollar but it is still nice. I don't know how people live the high life, especially with the high prices of everything now. It has to be debted to a bank, crdit card, or something, you would like to think, LOL.

If You're a DINKy that's not paying out mucho moolah for every single thing that it takes to raise a family these days (That's Assuming that they didn't adopt some kids!) then You'd have a load more flash cash to spend on a nice Blingmobile,P1key!

LOL...Gay men have great taste in cars and my favorite beauty products. Many are usually successful too but I can't figure out that part. They do seem to be more successful than most of the straight population. Maybe they fight harder for things and to suceed since they have had to fight a stigma about their sexuality. I don't know for sure, it was just a thought.

My very political daughter has a theory. I haven't thought about it much, but she said she thinks people in higher income brackets are often more free to be open about their sexuality, because they are secure in their jobs, and own homes, and therefore have no fear of losing employment or housing because of discrimination. So she thinks more homosexual people who are in lower income brackets are less likely to have come out publicly, and not necessarily that most homosexuals are wealthy. I don't know, just another thought. I've been known to be a little envious of these fancy cars, myself. LOL

My gay friends are all dirt poor. I think I need to find a better class of queers. LOL. Even my ex husband had nothing to give me. LMAO.
Seriously though, I wonder if a lot of it comes from not having a bunch of friends and party time, for fear of coming out. So they were able to concentrate on their "craft", be it computers, business, or some sort of entreprenual(sp) effort. My uncle is somewhere in his mid sixties and he is LOADED. He's an Executive VP at a major organization. He's gay. But up until about 5 years ago, he was deep in the closet. He was very, very career oriented. Now he can be himself.
Something to think on.

, I thought you had a Bently in the drive already! Well I suppose you wearing a bra is a start eh! I suppose it is who you mix and mingle with as much as what job they do. I was proposed to once by a millionaire but no money is the worth paying the price of real love and that is what you have in your marriage so I am glad you wren'y too envious for too long as realise what you already had is worth far more than a flas car and lifestyle eh! But never say never you numbers could come up yet on the lotto he, he, Ellie :D

I wouldn't really swap anything Ellie. But it is odd that they should stand out as especially well heeled. Mind you, no children to put through University! The Bentley had to go back I'm afraid. They wrote and told me that a man in a bra isn't the image that they want for their drivers. I had to send the peaked cap back too. LOL.

Your son has a fantastic job, just under appreciated by his NH Trust at a guess, LOL. I am quite content generally, but I did wonder why this group stood out so much. You are probably right, they are very focused I'm sure, and don't have children etc to bring up usually. Now there's a group that hit your wallet - forever!!

The little green eyed monster took a bite at you then Piky!!now sit down and think this over..you have everything that your little heart desires,Mrs Pike and Baby Pike, four walls and a roof..and the bills are paid..and you are contemplating running of with a LUVVIE??!!!!..well my breath has been knocked from within me!Im more of a Robin reliant girl myself,so ive no worries! But years ago I used to work in the citizens advice bureau..now theres something that you could volunteer for!and yes it was certainly interesting..and the other advisors were largely made up of retired Majors wives etc,and very lovely people they may have been, but when it came to try to outdo each other, well it was ridiculous!!One was going on holiday to see the `fall1 the other was doing a world cruise and so on..and where are you going this year Ruby??..Oh im off to Brighton!!lol I only used to say it because to be quite frank it all grated upon my nerves!!..and Ruby how did your son do with his A levels..so you see this is a good few years ago as he is now thirty four!..Oh he got two A`s and a B/,,....and you mean that he can actually get ito university with those results???....well my knuckles were on stand by then!!rofl..and if they only knew what he did now for a career..they would be gobsdmacked!!but all of this is so superficial...theres no depth to any of it..so enjoy your life with Mrs Pike..and b***** turining green!!!

I know what I've got Ruby and wouldn't swap it for the world really. I know EXACTLY what you mean by majors wives. I have had more than a passing acquaintance with many. Nothing funny I hasten to add. I am reminded of one (actually an RAF officer's wife) who worked for us. She had to go to fetch something from another base. They sent her a mini (this was in the 70s) which she declined as she "was an Officer's wife and should be driven in something larger". So the transport Warrant Officer sent her a 4 ton truck!!

A cap and a badge can have a dramatic effect on ones behaviour..as we have both found out to our cost!and Piky the saddest thing is that it is all so shallow...the `advisors` would discuss the peasants plights at length, and chew the cud,tut tutting at the situation. If it was a debt problem, which were at that ime just creeping into being, then they would nod their heads, and look at each other ,wondering why those poeple didnt save any money..not bearing in mind that many of them had originated from `old money` and therefore had been born with the proverbial silver spoon.I had to contract myself for a year, that was for the county to get their moneys worth out of me..for the course fees!..but LOL..it was hard to stand by and watch two faces appear from one head, time after time!!

A friend, who funnily enough is (until her divorce comes through) a Major's wife went to our local CAB as she had no money and whilst she had found a house to rent, didn't earn enough to pay for it. She was treated like something that had come in stuck to the bottom of a shoe apparently. Her husband has gone off with another woman and my friend was treated like it was all her fault. That said I know some lovely ones too. They're not all the same.

I would have to agree on wanting to be someone else sometimes, because they have a better life. To me it's understandable.I get mad at myself after the fact, because it makes me seem as if i don't appreciate what i have in life and everyone should appreciate, whether its good or bad. I have a comfortable life,it could definately! Be better. But without all of the past, I wouldn't be here today to tell it so well. So i have to appreciate the fact, that i lived through my past and looking foward to a brighter future. So its ok to drift away sometime but never forget who you are and where you come from. ....bye

The leopard cannot change his spots nor the pikefish his stripes!
I think that you have incorrectly associated sexuality with 'wealth' [not that I can take you wholly seriously - I think you do it for effect!], though I believe that there are still some industries where you can progress by sleeping with the right people.
Carry on lurking! The Golden Carp may swim by at any time!

I couldn't believe that such a thug as Cantona could have made such a seemingly profound statement, so I had to go and look it up (that's another 2p jingling in my pocket ). It was, apparently, the BBC who researched the saying and produced the following:
"Sentenced to 100 hours' community service for assault, Cantona's actions made worldwide headlines.
But his only comment to the press after his conviction was that one sentence.
Many believed it was the work of a little known French philosopher; others thought that Cantona had shown himself as a deep and enigmatic thinker.
But Michael Kelly, the former head of security at Manchester United has revealed in his book that the quotation had been assembled by a number of people including Cantona in a London hotel room.
Mr Kelly himself was asked by Cantona and his agent for another word for fishing boat - hence trawler.
He was also asked what small fish were called. His response was "sardines".
And so the phrase "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea" was born and earned Cantona the philosopher a place in football history."
Some of Cantona's other classics include:
"I might have said that, but on the whole I talk a lot of rubbish."
"When you are a rich man you are proud to own a Rolls Royce and when you are a poor man you are proud to own a Renault."
and ...
"I am God."

Well when all you have to do is work and you dont have any kids to spend money on you can have nice things. If I hadnt had my son I'd probably be living in a palace today. OH well, we make the choices we make and hopefully I will have grandchildren some day and it will all be worthwhile. I wish I could have more money also. I'm resigned to just working for it.

Well envy could be actually good if you would use it as motivation to achieve what you really want in life. I must admit that I envy a lot of rich people who owns a lot of things but as I think about it, sometimes I feel blessed that I'm not that rich because rich people encounter a lot of problems like intrigue, security, etc. So I think that they do feel envy from simple people like us.

Well hang on, what does their sexuality have to do with how well they're doing? I mean, I can see the connection where several of them seem to be doing well, but that's a pretty funny reason to want to change your sexuality! . Sometimes I wish I could change my gender, though, because I seem to get along really, really well with some homosexual guys, both online and in person. Ah well!

Heh. It's not their sexuality that does it. It's either that they're old or have good jobs or can save money really well.
