Do you think sometimes that posters here in mylot are not really sincere???

I agree with fluffnflowers and I have often wondered the same thing that you are asking. It does seem that there are alot of people here that will post anything to get the credits. The sad thing is, is that they get them. When I joined Mylot I thought that it was going to be a place where you could actually make friends and have running discussions with them on occasion. I havent seen where that is the case as of yet. I do plan to stick it out a little longer though so maybe I will be proved wrong :-) BTW I like your SN, are you military? Have a great day ! ! !

Hi there! Yes I do notice that. Especially with those one liner posts. I don't usually respond to them but sometimes if I can't find anything interesting to respond to I do respond to them cause' there are also interesting ones. I don't also think that those kinds of posts are bad. Maybe just maybe, the poster isn't just good in expressing oneself so they opt to make a question and answer post. Ciao!

A few months ago this was a big issue on mylot. There were outrageous discussions being written that had people feeling bad and none of it was true. There were discussions supposedly written by a female but the profile was that of a male and vice versa. I believe the majority of discussions are sincere but we do have to take them with a grain of salt because some people will write anything just for the earnings.

Of course. I've noticed that a lot of posters post things that are one liners asking open ended questions, I'm assuming because they require no thought and allow people to reply without much effort. And they post a LOT! I try not to reply to those because they're really not asking a question, but they're aiming for earning the most money, not that I completely blame them. I, personally, get very irritated when I get responses to my posts that have absolutely nothing to do with what I posted or seem like the person didn't read very much of my question.
