can we really live without computers? i know i CANT lol. i just think about how long im really on my computer and how long i'd LIKE to be on my computer. i swear i do EVERYTHING on my computer: talk to people, surf, play games, reports, research(duh lol) and such. i just cant think about how much technology advanced in the 16 years i've been alive and how much its going to advance in the next couple years. what do you think were gonna start seeing? and what about this Internet-2 thats been the buzz around the internet. can anyone provide more of an explanation somewhere?

It would be hard to imaigine life without computers. I remeber before computers were used at all. Life was simpler in some ways but defineitely more complicted in others.
If we did not have computers we would be isolated from one another more than we are now. Computers have made alot of communiction between people possible.

vimaal, life without computer is very tough nowadays. since all things in this world are associated with computer. without computer is very very tough. but without computer there are some advantages as one of our friend mentioned above. but its very hard to complete many works without computer. time consumed by all the works will be very very high. as computer does many calculations in matter of seconds. now a days computer is main hobby for most of the peoples as they chat, play games, work in that, etc., so without computer its very hard...

I remember life without computers. In reflection, I feel that if I no longer had a computer (or they were no longer available to me), I would:
1) Enjoy a simpler life
2) Spend more time with people face-to-face
3) Find more creative ways to complete tasks
4) Spend more time outdoors
5) Write more handwritten cards and letters
6) Feel more connected to people.
7) Have less headaches from staring at a screen all hours of the day and night.

Having a computer is certainly paramount for alot of people in our society, what with people needing laptops in the workforce and the like. It just kind of expedites things and makes things easier all the way around. Now I have been without a computer for sometime and missed it. Once you get it back again it seems hard to imagine being without it. Being on line serves as a font of information that is hard to get elsewhere. I am happy that at least for now I can chat with friends on mylot and get some other things done online!
