Have you gained weight from taking pills?

I take several medicines each day and over the past month since I got on tyroid medicine it has made me gain weight. The Dr. says this is normal!??? My grandmother took meds and some made her gain too but when she quit taking them it was still hard for her to gt the weight back off. What have you done to control your weight when taking medicine?

i've never taken those, but also,i lost so much with my last illness and my hubby lost so much before he passed away, i dont worry about it any more. these days, i've gained finally and getting pretty chubby but feel like its good to have something reserved to fight back with.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, when I get down sick with the flu or something I tend to lose some weight then but here lately I haven't been sick and I don't eat very much each day mainly breakfast and maybe a salad for lunch if I get the time to but I have been gaining like 3-4 lbs. every two wks. I know it doesn't sound like alot but over time I am afraid it is going to be my next health issue. The dr. also wants me to come in for some tests as he thinks I may be retaining water.
