I think hat God put animals on this planet for human use. We can use and eat animals to our discretion because that's what they're there for!
HOWEVER! I DO NOT think that taking it for granted is by ANY means acceptable! This means TORTURE of animals such as cruel and meaningless testing and cruel and meaningless keeping of animals like the cooped up chickens and cows in farms where they're unhealthy and suffering until they die. I eat mostly free range meats and hunted meats because the animal was LIVING and not just suffering.
but, I understand humanely putting an animal down, and I DO support SOME animal testing that isn't harmful to the animal. Like studying their behavior and problem solving and things like that.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean killing animals for the purpose of food, or killing for the simple act of destruction?
If it's the former, then I believe that it's necessary, though we shouldn't take it to extremes. I think it's ridiculous how people will pump animals full of steroids or whatever else they do in order to get more meat and faster- it's so bad for the animal and the meat itself, and therefore for us... but if we eat carefully and remember where the food comes from, it's okay.
Killing for the purpose of killing, however, is absolutely out of the question. I care greatly about any and all animals out there, and the idea of killing them for no good reason gets under my skin like nothing else.

I love animals A LOT. And I'm pretty much torn by this, because I feel that there are animals that only need to be killed for food, and others are companion animals. Like for instance, the fact that in Asia, they eat cats and dogs ticks me off to no end. And then you have people that feel certain animals are "stupid" and should be killed for food, i.e. cows. I on the other hand do not feel that ANY animal is stupid, because it isn't fair to compare their intelligence to ours. I'm actually one of those people that really doesn't eat mammals, such as cows or pigs. I just eat poultry.
