friendship may be defined as "a dynamic, mutual relationship between two individuals...
Are they someone that comes around when they feel like it,
Or are they someone that comes around on a daily basis?

I have been blessed with many true friends throughout my lifetime and I have discovered that a true friend wants nothing from you but your companionship.
A true friend is the first one you call to complain about your spouse and kids, brag about your spouse and kids, talk about the problems and the blessings in life.
A true friend is the one you know that you can call at 3:00 am and ask to take you to the hospital because your daughter is in labor and your car has broken down.
A true friend is the person who go karoking with and will lie to protect your feelings. They will say no you didn't make a fool of yourself; you did a great job.
A true friend is more like family than an acquaintance.

well a true friend accepts everything. a true friend will never criticise just to bring you down. a true friend will tell the truth and only the truth. a true friend will be there when you need. mere physical presence is not a yardstick of true friendship. how close the body is doesn't mean anything. but the closeness of the mind is what's make friends friends. i can not see my friends for months and get on just fine, as if the time lapse didn't exist at all. i see my co-workers everyday but that doesn't make them my friend because our minds are so far apart.
