We have an iguana and are looking to build him a larger cage. Right now he is in a 75 gallon aquarium. I need some tips if you guys have any. What kind of lights do you have in yours, I'm not sure of which one to get. Any tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I didn't know you had an iguana! I used to have one too! How big is he? What is his name? Do you keep him inside or outside? We never had lights in the cage, only a heat rock so he could digest his food.
Do you have any pictures of him?

He's really for my 8 year old, but every pet we seem to get, momma always takes care of them....mostly. His name is Iggy (original I know!) He is about 16 inches long from his nose to the tip of his tail. We keep him inside so the kids can play with him more often, they take showers with him too. The guy at pet store said we needed to have alight in cage that puts off UV rays for him to be able to metabolize calcium for his bones. I'll put some older pics of him up on my profile in a a bit so you can see him.

When we had an iguana, we made him a cage out of screen and 2x4's. We built it upright so that it didn't take up a lot of floor space. We also had everything that he climbed on attached to the structure and had a pan of litter in the bottom. When we needed to clean the cage, all we had to do was slide the pan out and replace the litter. It worked out really well. I don't remember what sort of lights we had, exactly, but they were in fluorescent fixtures at the top of the cage.
