Ebay is only advantageous to the sellers because the buyers often get scammed.. i'm one of the victims :( I paid for 2 ipods, xbox and DVD player... lost them all in 1 day... i thought that seller could be trusted because he has lots of "stars" and positive comments.. Nevermind,,, it all had passed.. for ur question..i think most ppl r looking 4 electronics stuff.. which r much cheaper than the retail price..hope dis helps

I did..but wats the point when they could only send warning letters to the seller and suspended his account.I lost nearly AUD$1000 but ebay said dat MAYBE they could give me the claim of up to AUD$200...sigh** i'll never buy at ebay again...

I buy and sell on e-bay. When buying, I am either trying to find a really good price, or trying to find something that isn't available locally. I have always purchased good quality items and have found e-bay sellers to be top-notch. Always, always, check the feedback rating before buying from a seller. Also, if there are negative feedbacks, see what they are. Sometimes, a negative will get posted, even when the seller has done everything possible to satify the buyer. From a sellers standpoint, I have been slowly cleaning my house and selling stuff that I no longer need since May of this year. I have made a good deal of extra spending money and have a cleaner, more organized house in the process. I try to keep my prices very reasonable so that the items do sell. I don't want to pay insertion fees for items that don't sell.

I have bought from here but never sold anything. The rates seem too high for me plus it seems like a lot of work when selling. I have lots to sell just not sure if I am ready to learn how yet.
