why is love so difficult

Im 21 and ive been with my girlfriend for almost two years.I know i love her but sometimes i feel like we shouldnt be together, like i should still be single. Still out having fun, because theres not much you can do while you have a girlfriend without hurting them. Maybe im just selfish, i dont know. Does anybody else feel this way?
