many parents always have the problem on how to let there children bite, munch and eat vegetables. my wife makes sure that it is fun. like putting sweet tasting with the vegetable like peanut butter or mayonaise or cheese. when my wife cook veggies she makes she sure she will fry chicken or fish then she will let our child eat the veggies together with the fish or fried chicken. and one more thing she hides it. she minced the veggies and mix it together with ground pork, or ground chicken or ground beef and make it to meat balls or hamburger patty. the veggies are inside but the kids wouldnt mind. i am not much of a vegetable eater myself but my wife styles of making it fun, serving it with fried chicken and hiding it are styles that i found cool. i hope this tips can help you and if you ever have any addition to this me and my wife would love to hear it from you

Hi se7enthbird,
I love vegetables..Thanks to my mom who just ignore me before when I will cry having it in my plate..LOL!
She will also serve a lot if vegetables and we have really to eat it! I didn't complain when I was younger but will just eat and cry! Now, I am thankful to her since I have met a lot of friends who never eat any vegetables!
That's a great strategy there..I am sure this will help to the MOm who have difficulty in motivating their kids!

Ohh...I don't blame you! My Sister also doesn't like okra and tomatoes...But I always encourage her to try tomatoes with patis and lemon! It was hard for her at first but she loves it now...but, not okra!
I do love okra, just boil it and a little of patis..hmmm...It's ok if I have no other viand! LOL!

my mom is not much of a vegetable eater too so i think that is one of the main reasons why i am not much of a vegatable eater. but i eat monggo and ampalaya. i dont eat talong and okra. yuck. har har har. my wife eats all kinds of vegetable and that is what she is teaching my child. lucky me i have a wife who can teach my child not to be a picky eater like me. thanks a lot for the response

The way I get myself to eat more vegetables is to make veggie burgers. They are presented like something more familiar and enticing and if done on a grill they actually aren't that bad.

yes some parents who has picky eating kids would rather make veggie burgers for the kids does not know the difference for it is all minced and you can no longer see what is it there. yes grilling them will invite them more to it for they can smeel how good is the food. thanks a lot for the response

Those are very interesting ideas. Thanks for sharing them with us!
My 3 year old daughter actually enjoys vegetables and fruits more than meat. I give her grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The first thing that she eats is the green beans and then the mashed potatoes. She might eat the chicken, she might not. If she has a choice she usually goes for more green beans.
It is interesting that she like vegetables so much more than meat. Also, when I make cheeseburgers and french fries or buy a cheeseburger and french fries she eats all her fries and leaves the burger behind. She might eat the bun, but not the meat.

my son sometimes do that specially with chicken for he does not like to have chicken hanging between his teeth. he also loves mashed potatoes and green beans. my wife even copies fried rice that is cooked on chinese restaurants and she puts a lot of green peas and my child loves eating that. thanks a lot for the response

i too do that when i feed my kid. I dress the vegetables with something he likes and then it goes in in a flash. Maybe it is because he is just two that he takes it. As and when he grows up i have to come up with more innovative ideas...
Anyways thanks for sharing...

i think you no longer need to think of any innovative ideas for you child will soon get use to eating veggies. the hardest part is only the first few years when a child get use t o it he will eat that. my child even eats kimchee and because i am not much of a veggie eater i having a hrd time to play a role model for my child. but my wife eats every veggie out there. thanks a lot for the response
