I've only been to Florida once with my family and we went to Panama City. Not exactly a family friendly city. I'm looking for other cities in Florida with plenty for families to do without breaking the bank. I'm very open to advice. Thanks!

There's always Disneyland, but that's so over rated. When I was a kid I went to Destin, Florida, they have the most beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches, and I don't think the prices are too bad. The crime there basically doesn't exist, and there are a lot of families that visit. I know that there are some kid amusement parks, and a really spectacular water park.

My sister lives in Tampa Florida. So i usually stay with her which saves on the cost of hotels and sometimes food. I would say buy your food from a grocery store instead of resturants. Visit the beach often which will save you on entertainment. Do a lot of walking and site seeing.
