Sure. I think most American kids, at least, have played with a ouija board at some time or another.
We just used it at a slumber party to scare each other, like a kid around a campfire would tell a scary story? Nothing really happened.
They are just games. Nothing to get nervous about. I have heard all sorts of ..it is evil B.S. I have played with them and so have the kids. Nothing evil happened. It's hogwash. (Over active inagination is the only bad thing that can come from it. Those "deamon chasers" sre full of it. (Looking for attention.)
I am almost 50 and have played arund with them for fun? But they ARE just stupid and for fun. No more scary than a roller coaster, if you ask me.
Remember, Milton Bradley makes a cardboard ouija board and if there was really anyhting to it, do you believe they'd still be in business after selling them for decades? LOL!

An Oujia board? I just responded to your quote about how you had a wonderful weekend at a youth conference and how it was so cool to see these students changing their lives. An Oujia board is definately not something I would want my fellow youth sponsors even contemplating. They are one of the first things luring you into the Supernatural and other things like devi and spirt worshipping. If you are a Christian and definately if you are a youth sponsor, I would march right back up to the store and return it. If you do keep it and are a Christian and youth sponsor, I must say that I would be very saddened and disappointed. Working with kids is not joke and neither is Christianity

I hope that did not sound harsh. I just was taken aback after reading your Youth Conference posts. You sound like you are a strond Christin individual. Please don't mess with an Oujia board, just continue giving those youth a strong role model to look up to. I have had friends mess with those things. They are real and Satan can really play mind tricks on you with them.

I used to think they were just toys, I did after all buy mine in a toy store. I found out differnt, we took all the precautions with it to keep it from going bad even if we didn't believe at first. At first the spirit that came through was just for fun telling us this that or the other and while we enjoyed it we didn't really believe you know. Then the board got weird, it would only 'talk' if my 8 year old daughter had her hands on it, and the pointer would fly around so fast no one could read what it was saying - except my 8 year old daughter who was only just learning to read but always knew what it said and I could keep up enough to see that what she was reading wasn't being made up. As the sessions with the board progressed the information was getting ugly and evil saying things like someone was going to be killed, or die from a disease things like that. With in weeks my life got very ugly very fast, we decided to burn the board, took it outside put it in the grill and took a lighter to it, when that fire went out there honestly was not even ash left in the bottem of the grill it had burned so hot. Lets just say they are not toys and some things are better left alone and that includes oujia boards.

Whilst I am into the paranormal and supernatural, I would never ever consider playing with an oujia board. As people here have stated, these are not toys and I do not understand why in America you can buy them off the shelf as a game. Here in the UK, they are completely banned in all UK countries.
If you do not know what you are doing, do not use it.

i was always interested in getting one. my ex and i were gonna buy one, but it never happened. i always wanted to know if it would actually work. i dont know if i would try one now. i mean, yeah it is a plaything but theres also stories of it being something more than that, and i know i wouldnt want something haunting my house or my family. im still curious about it, maybe someday i'll do it. until then im staying away.

I honestly wouldn't recommened that to anyone. That could turn on you in a quick second without you even knowing it. I have heard stories about that and I have witness things that are unhuman you are going to attract negative forces to your life once you start messing with it is better for you to return it and dont even bother playing with it but if you really want to and you want to see what is all about then thats all up to you but you will see what im talking about its not a good game to play.

To be honest, I wouldn't play with such an item. There is just no telling what kind of negative forces or energies you would attract by doing so. My parents used to own one a long time ago, but did not allow me to play with it. Then as I got older, I learned about oujia boards and even more important to stay away from them.

I've used it before. Some friends of mine and I decided to play with it on Halloween at a party. There was a girl there that none of us really liked because she was skanky, and we used the board to convince her that her boyfriend was a minion of Satan. It was retarded, but she totally bought it and started crying and freaked out when he showed up in costume later.
Have I had an actual paranormal experience with one? Of course not.

My feelings are the same as most of the comments already here. I was always warned against playing with oujia boards. I was told that you could accidently invite negative spirits into your life and that it is much more difficult to rid yourself of them then it is to bring them into your life. Now that's just my opinion. But there are some things that I was always told to stay away from that I decided to investigate anyway and once I did, I realized that warnings just represented a fear of what those people had no knowledge of. You know...a fear of the unknown. Before making a decision to use it, I think I would do some serious background investigation on the entire subject.

My friend has played it before and she said it did spell out names or letters. I wouldn't try this game. I have heard bad things about it. A few guidelines my friends told me about it is it's not good for mentally unstable persons to play and that it's also bad luck for the house you're playing it in.

yes many many years ago we made and cut out letters to place in a circle with yes and no in the middle we then touched a finger on the drinking glass in the centre and it spelled out words. This is not a toy ,we used it as back then we did'nt know that it was a dangerous game to play ,and like here on earth there are good and bad spirits some who could take control .Please do not play with this hide it away and forget it .
