Forgiving your enemies

I am a student of christian science, and I would have to say one of the best things that I have gained from it is the ability to forgive my enemies. No matter what someone has done to me, I have forgiven them. There is a man I know, and we got in a argument about something and he told everyone I was a horrible since. I wanted at first to be really mad at him, then I realized the truth, that he is gods child and therefore he couldn't be a bad person or think any of the things that I saw he had. After a few weeks of me doing random acts of kindness for him, he stopped for a moment and asked me why I would be nice to him while he is trying to make me look bad. I told him that it was because I saw who he really was, gods perfect child. We have been best friends ever since. If you know someone that you are enemies with, try to think as I had. You will be amazed at the turn around of the whole situation. Please give thoughts on this:)
