bill gates retirement from microsoft ?

last june 27th bill gates retired from all active participation in microsoft, from a garage unit to the worlds largest, he was totally devoted to microsoft for the last 33 years, his retirement at the age of 52 - would it effect the future of the computer world in a whiole or will it only efect microsoft
