Is your glass half-full, or half-empty?

This is a simple psychological test that my former boss has once asked me. He placed a glass that was half-filled with water on top of a table. He then explained that if you see the glass as half-full, it means that you have a life that is meaningful, peaceful, or you are, at the moment, triumphant. On the other hand, if you see the glass as half-empty, it signifies that you could be going through a predicament or a serious dilemma. I try to imagine and look at that same glass now...it looks half-full to me. What about you, is your glass half-full, or half-empty?

Hello Cupid, yes, that is exactly what the test is all about, and it's always best to look at the brighter side or, as you said, to think in a positive way. I missed mylot for few weeks and I am glad that I finally got the chance to post again. Take care too, have a great day and thanks for your response.

I am an optimistic and always view a glass as half full. I feel half full glass is better than half empty glass. I also believe that something is better than nothing and always try to look at the positive side. Very Good discussion.

Thanks dpk...yes, a half-full glass is much better than a half-empty one, though at times, we can't help but go through predicaments. However, going through a dilemma does not mean that our glasses have to be half-empty. It always depends on how we take things. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Have a great day.

Hi weng_08! I do see my glass as half-full at this moment. However, I do think that I am still in the middle of struggle and I am not sure if I am feeling victorious. I do have some peace in my heart for I know I am doing the right thing as I have been praying for guidance all the time. But still, I am quite scared of what will happen next somehow. Take care and God Bless!

Hello faith, whatever it is that you are going through right now, I am very sure that you'll come out victorious. Just keep on praying...being scared is a normal thing, may faith give you your much needed courage. God bless. Have a great day.

Hello littleowl...I hope I could do something to have your glass refilled. Anyway, having it half-empty at the moment does not mean that it would always be half-empty. After all, when we're down, there is nowhere else to go but up. Just want to remind you that you have friends who care.

My glass is dirty, and chipped. I demand to see the manager.

Hello Valeria, that is actually a very safe answer, and, in fact, that was my answer to my former boss. Thanks for your response.

hi what is know is, it depends on what the asker is doing. If the asker is pouring water into the glass, then it is half-full. If the asker is drinking water from the glass, it is half empty. But reading your post, this half-full half-empty thing adds another meaning to me.
