I have a math quetstion.... 2 cars in opposite directions. Car A is going 54mph and car B is going 58mph. with a total distance of 1580miles. How long before they meet? and how many miles has each travled?

It is a simple problem of fisic: v(A)=54 m/h v(B)=58 m/h x(0,A)= 0 ; x(0,B) = 1580 m we must to solve the sistem : x = x(0,A) + v(A) * t x = x(0,B) - v(B) * t because B go in the opposite of A so x = (54 * t) m x = 1580 m - (58 * t) m if you solve this sistem find that x = 761.766 m t = 14.1071 h Ok?

Yes, In some months I can be graduate. Tomorrow I have an exam of partial differential equation I hope to pass it.
