B-day party ideas

My sons first b-day party is comming up on the 13th and I kinda know I just wnat it to be here at home but i have no idea what kind of things I could do to really make it special. I know that my son will prolly never remember his first b-day but I want it to be special anyway. I know I am going to get him his own little b-day cake that he can eat all to himself. But I dont know what else to do. Any ideas?

The Little B-day cake is a great idea and is what my mom had done with me, and everyone in my family who has had children has done. Is there any younger kids coming to the party who are older than your son? If so I would suggest making games and such around them, not the theme of course have that directed towards your son, but you would want something to preoccupy the youngsters there, When a child hears b-day party no matter what they expect games and prizes :) Is there any character or toy that your son enjoys? Even though your son may not remember it, take lots of pictures, cuz later on hell look back and still know it was important to you guys and that in itself will make him feel loved and special :)
