does this only happen to me or have some of you found items missing after you have finished unpacking after you have moved house Tablecloths, gone measuring glass jug gone, hand juicer, gone ,I know these things were packed and my husband said he didn't take any thing to the tip and nothing was left behind ,so were are these things. It seems such a puzzle that my mind can't let go of. A huge bag of folk-art books gone bedding gone. If it was one or two items it wouldn't worry me so much but its a lot of stuff to lose and it has to be some-where except where it should be with me. Any-one else lost stuff after moving and did it surface later. lol.

Hi! i was pretty lucky when i moved last year, the only thing that went missing was a shoe! wasn't a big deal but was pretty annoying when i put an outfit on with these shoes in mind, only to look in my shoe box to find i now only had one of them! hehe Think there are moving fairies who like to have a little mischief while where on the move!

hello my husband andi had to go to a do and we could't find his shoes so he had to wear his work boots. We did find them hidden under some stuff in the sun room later.

Me and my parents have only moved once, and we only moved like ten minutes from where we used to live because we moved from a small two bedroom/one bathroom trailer to a three bedroom/two bathroom house, and since we moved everything ourselves,we did not have anything go missing, but my brother is living with a guy who used to live in California, but he moved to North Carolina to go to school, and me and my fiance were helping my brother move in,and the guy from California, was talking about how he did not realize how much junk he had until he moved, but he did talk about how some of his dishes and other glass stuff got broken by the movers.

you live in a place long enough and it is amazing the stuff that gets collected ,and just as upsetting when something one cherishes gets lost or broken

Yeah I know over the years people collect various things and it is very devastating to have something lost or broken, that is why I was glad that we only moved ten minutes down the road, and were able to move everything ourselves, because it seems like movers today do not care about other peoples stuff, but that is just my opinion, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

After a couple of moves of expensive things going missing, we learned to pack and ship that stuff ourselves. Boxes also seem to get left on moving trucks or at the curb. We had a former neighbor call us, once, to tell us that the movers had left ten boxes on the curb because they couldn't fit them into the truck! I'm assuming they didn't want to have to rearrange things or admit they misestimated the house contents and pay for more space, so they just left the stuff.
Once, we were doing a shared truck move, where they put a couple of different peoples' stuff on one truck. When we were unpacking half of the boxes weren't even ours!
Moving is such an adventure...

Yes, it happened to us twice when we have moved last year and this January. I guess people has taken advantage of us being busy that we havent noticed that some of the things were missing. it really happens. i hope when we move again, it won't happen anymore...

Hi, hiring the cheap moving company is always risk. If you have hired any professional mover, then you need not to worry about that. The professional movers usually gather all your packed things and produce the list to you, so that you can check the complete list while delivery. Here few link which you can refer to get more detailed answer.
