Not much going on in the fun section of my life!

I am an young adult and I presently going to college and so far my life is very boring. My friends are far away, I am busy with school and where I live at is quite boring. I really need to do some things to spicy up my life. I am thinking about making new friends and going out from time to time when I get the chance. I go to school abroad so it hard for me to make friends in a country where the culture is different. I spend most of my time with my family although I don't have much here abroad. In the country where I was grown it was easier to make friends there because we had similar interests and all. What dod you suggest some fun things I could do? or Do you face a similar problem?
