How come Americans can spend $135,000,000 in one weekend at the movies, but we can't help the people in Africa.You know if they would just donate one weekends procedes, we could put nice clean condos,good water, and food for them. I would reather do that then watch will smith stop a train with his butt.

How come every other country on the planet looks to America to clean up their messes? How come America can send food and supplies and medication to other countries but we have people dying because they can't get healthcare or food or medication right here in the USA?
Since when is America every other country's sugar daddy?

Because we can???? then why can't we fix our own problems first. We need to take care of our own yard before we care for the neighbors!!!!
That's the whole problem.... And ya know something... if or when the shoe is on the other foot, I'm bettin not a single country we have helped will be there to help us!!

Why can't Africa start putting the energy it spends to enslave its own people to mine diamonds and gold towards feeding its own instead of only a few keeping all the money while the others suffer. For centuries they have down their people wrong so I do not and will not feel sorry for the country as a whole as long as they are run and controlled by corruption.

I do feel for the people too, but sending money and aid over there is worthless because the people do not get it, the monsters controlling the flow of everything take it and keep it. The ones who need it are left to suffer or given so little that it does next to no good.
We could pour aid shipment after aid shipment over there 365 day a year and they might get one out of 20 shipments.

This is not a problem just with American but with us people all over. We get so self-centred with our own desires that we forget about the world around us. We start realising this only when we get a severe jolt and shaken up. There are some who know and talk about it but do nothing. The ones who do something genuinely are few and far apart.

Oh coopstar! What about the needy in America? We have so many homeless people here. we have starving mama's and kids. America already helps other countries out so much and does not focus on its own first. I think we should help these people but help our own people first and give them whats left if there is any thing.

$135 million ? Jee it must have been a slow week then ;-)
You are right of course, so I will do my bit and won't go this week (well to be honest I refuse to go these days) and if you do the same then our consciences are clear. I heard a lady here saying, she had 40 dollars to spend and didnt know what to do with it, so she had a tatoo done! I replied and said, well you could have sponsored a child for that amount. No reply as yet ;-)
