ive been waiting for this fight to happen, and now it going to come 27th of july, i think with margarito cotto finally found a match, the guy i think is a middleweight naturaly just going down in weight so he could fight smaller guys, and has a devastating punching power too, this is the guy that mayweather had been avoiding, even turns down a 8 million dollars price offer to fight him, so what do you think cotto is tough, but with margarito is he tough enough?

I agree. Margarito may prove to be too much for Cotto. Margarito have lot going for him - speed, punching power, and reach. Even Cotto is used to fighting taller opponents I think with Margarito he'll have bit of problems. Margarito is a very active fighter. He could spun around Cotto if he needs to avoid those short crisp punches by Cotto. Determining factor for the fight though would be strategy. If Margarito is smart enough to fight Cotto from the distance I see him winning a UD or TKO in 10-12 rounds. If he engages Cotto inside mid-range it could be a snorter night for him. That Cotto hook to the body just seems so devastating

thanks for responding, you dont know margarito dont you, margarito is not a boxer, he never box, he stands right in front of the guy and trade punches with him, i think margaritos punches are hardest when he throws them short so dont think cotto got any advantage if he fight margarito in the inside, his technique had never been to win by points, i think he dont know how to, the only way that guy knows how to fight is to press the fight into the other guy, to pummel them with punches till that guy gives up coz he cant take anymore or got taken knock out, yes cotto is not a push over, but he had never face someone who is willing to stand toe to toe with him, well he had, but this guy is different coz this guy punch harder than those that he had met, and no its not one hard punch and then clinch with this guy, its one hard punch after the other, a continous barrage of power punches, hes a monster in the ring, cotto is tough but it wont be enough to win againts margarito, there is that big possibility that this is going to be cotto's first lost, hes first knock out lost, come july 27th, cottos gonna say bye bye to that unblemished record and belt

yes, margarito is a slow starter, he has the power and speed, but miguel cotto is a perfect fighter, accoding to bob arum, he got the whole package, the speed, skill, intelligence, and of course his power, i think it's going to be a great match.

it is, it will be the fight of the year, they should have done this a long time ago,i dont think margarito is a slow starter, he can quickly finish someone in round one if he thinks that someone cant take hes punches rather than work rounds softening him up, all the things that you have mentioned about cotto, margarito have them also, and he has something that cotto i dont think have, the chin to absorb heavy blows, but lets just see, you see i do want cotto to win, its just that, if you look at this realistically, cottos chance of doing that is by points only, mostly by points, i dont see cotto trading bombs this time, like he did with mosley, cotto in this fight i think will play it safe and just box and wait to throw something heavy to hurt margarito, you talked about cottos left hook to the body, margarito can throw 3 lefts in just a short time specialy if it is a close quarter fight, and he almost always, end his left punches which start with a hook with an uppercut, margaritos left is way better than cotto, i am definitely exicited about this fight, i cant wait, i want it to happen tomorrow, i agree this is great, and lets just see if cotto can come out of this one with his undefeated record intact, but i doubt it
