Do you name your car?

I am 30 years old with 2 small kids and I drive a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis. It is a giant white boat! When I drive it around it makes me feel so old. I should be in a smaller, more hip car. I've named my car Earl- I think the name reflects perfectly a giant white old boat. Does anyone else have names for their cars? What are they?

I have never named any of my cars, but my aunt and uncle had a car named "Bessie" FOREVER! Maybe naming them makes them last longer! LOL!

I bet Earl gives you a smooth riding experience. Arent Marquis similar to the Lincoln Towncar? I drive 3 cars and they all are feminine. The 96 Mustang name is Misty, the 95 Caddy name is Cathy and the 02 Firebird name is Phoebe. They are all 'good girls'

I'm driving a 1984 Buick Century that my grandmother purchased brand new. She passed away in November of 1998 at the age of 85 and my mom inherited the car. My mom is now 76 years old and doesn't drive anymore. We named the car Ella Mae which was my grandmother's name. The car hasn't given me much trouble except for the motor mounts keep breaking. I've had to have the motor mounts replaced 5 times in 1 year. No one can seem to figure out why this keeps happening but it's cheaper to get it repaired than to have a car note.

No names for the cars here. Just glad we are still able to keep things going. Given the price of gas these days that can be hard. Both cars are from 2000. So right now are still in good shape. If that changes so could the naming thing.

Funny, we have a 1989 Grand Marquis, it surely is a giant, gas guzzler. There is not a name for it. Maybe I will think of a name to tag on the old girl or guy. lol I had a car once that I called Nellie, another one was Betsy, I think those are the only two that had names.
