Baby should sleep itself or with parents?

Safety 1st, i think. A man in Florida put his 2 month old beside him. When he awoke he had fallen asleep on top of the baby. It didn't turn out well. I am getting ready to have my second child in December. We will have a bassinet in our room for a while. But not in the bed with us. I think in the room next to your bed with a bassinet will be fine. Well, that's partly true but think about this if your baby is hungry in the middle of night and wake up find itself in the darkness, will that be a good impact on your baby? I think the better solution is the combination of both. First, sleep with your baby and later, i mean gradually, let your baby sleep itself bu close to your bed, then, let your baby sleep in its own room. By doing so i hope you can solve the problem.
