What is that I'm seeing in the clouds

I remember when I was just a little girl, I loved to lie on the ground and watch the beautiful clouds as they seemed to turn into different objects. I would lie there and daydream for hours. I still like to cloud watch.
Last year on my late husbands birthday my grandkids wanted to take balloons to the cemetery and release them for their granddaddy's birthday. So we bought one of those helium balloon kits and filled a bunch of balloons to take and release.
One of my granddaughters wrote a note to her granddaddy and put it in the balloon. She didn't let any of us see the note nor did she tell us what she said in it.
When we got there, we all released our balloons at the same time. Well her balloon just shot up into the sky, passing all of our balloons and quickly disappered.
As we were leaving the cemetery, I looked up at the clouds and there plain as day, was a big smiley face. My granddaughter was thrilled and was convinced that it was her granddaddy smiling down at her after reading her note.
Now I'm not sure about that; but I was really happy that the clouds decided to make a smiley face just at that moment. It made one little girl a happy camper on an otherwise sad day.
Are you a cloud watcher?
Do you enjoy watching the different shapes in the clouds.
Happy cloud watching from,
Nana

Yea. I love looking at the clouds and daydream. To me, that's one of life's simple pleasures. I enjoy just staring at the sky and the clouds and allow my imagination to take over. I would always imagine myself as a bird flying across the sky beside the clouds.

The story about your granddaughter is absolutely wonderful. I myself love watching clouds even now- when I'm on a road trip and sitting in the back/passenger's seat, I love to stare out the window and watch the scenery passing by. That includes clouds; I don't even think about it, I just start deciding what shapes the clouds are forming in, and watch as they morph into other things almost constantly the further along we drive. I get a peaceful feeling from such a calming exploration of my own imagination.

When I was a kid (when there's nothing to do), I always watched the cloud with awe. I might be a dreamer since I can form the cloud into objects and draw it in my little scrapbook. Some look like wavy fish scales, some look like feathery "mares tails", and others look like thin sheets of gauze. There are more others.
When I read this discussion, I wonder where I place my scrapbook. It was more than a decade ago.

Oh CopyPaper, that would be so wonderful to be able to draw what you see in the clouds. I can't even imagine since I can't even draw a stick man. :o)
Yeah, maybe you do need to find that scrapbook. If it's been more than a decade ago I bed it will be really interesting to see it again. That is so cool.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting.

Wow! That is the best word I can say for Your story. It's a story I won't forget. Believe Me the story won't be forgotten by Me because of the clouds either. Just the idea, thought and the "share" factor. I really appreciate You sharing. I cloud watch but definately NOT enough. It always seems NOT enough time to just enjoy the wonders of the earth, including clouds but definately not limited to clouds. I thank You for sharing and Am extremely happy that in the end it ended up so well. What a wonderful experience and great idea. You may want to consider expanding on it. God Blesses! Apparently within the clouds too! ;)
