How do get clean water spots from a microfiber sofa?

Between my kids and husband, I'm always cleaning something off the sofa. But I always end up with a water spot no matter how much I try to dry it. How can I get rid of them and how do I keep from getting them in the first place. It is a olive green microfiber sofa if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
