Illegal family activity

I have a set of relatives within my extended family that have engaged in activities I don't think are appropriate. If you were in the same situation would you turn them in to authorities or approach them first and try to end the activity without outside influence?

In my case, I would just let them do what they have to do. I won't interfere in their affairs so as not to cause fights and quarrels among the family members. I would just inculcate in my mind that sooner or later, they will still all be jailed.

Well i think it is appropriate to have it resolved internally. But, if by any case they still persist in their misdeeds it is better to report it to the proper authorities. Trying to mediate internally is to save reputation but if they are not stopping because of that then it is better that you have to report them to clean the name of your family too.

I think it depends on what they're doing. If they're doing something that you think is making their family go downhill, then it might be a good idea to alert authorities. If what they're doing is something that isn't damaging their family value, but it is bad, then you may not want to alert authorities about the issue before talking to them first. It could tear their family apart, and if what they're doing isn't a very bad thing, than it might be alright for it to continue. But if they're family is being mentally or physically damaged, then you should consider telling authorities about the problem.
