Since I use smartphone and it has many features, so its battery runs out fast. I have three batteries already, but I wonder whether I shall try to use the solar charger for the cellphone. I don't know whether it works as well as it says. Any ideas?

I think that the solar charger for the cellphone works slowly, it can only use for an urgent situation, it can not use for normal.

all solar products are besed on the sunlight, if it is very strong, the solar charger might works ok as they said, but it is not, I think the charger should not be used for normal, it might be slowly.

There's a product called "Solio"... It's a small unit that you can attatch to your cell. phone or ipod or whatever the portable device... Company calls it hybrid because you can charge it in 2 ways... It comes with usb cable to hook it up to your computer... Or, you can charge it via solar panel... Bad part is, it takes a while for the unit to charge... It has 3.7v, 1000 mah battery, which won't last too long or won't charge some devices to full... But it is a good idea for last minute, emergency type situations...

I have never seen a solar charger... and i don't think that is available in my country just yet... but if it is... it must be quite expensive... so i don't really know if it will work better than the ordinary charger... but you will never know... unless you give it a try...
