Hello mylotters,
I'm so glad to talk with you.I am soooooooo happy can find this good website.
I've been learned english for a long time, but I also can't speak very fluent.I think it's difficult to change my thinking to english thinking,do you know what I mean? I know english is more easy than some other language. For instances,German,Dutch,Chinese,Japanese, and so on.
So,what's your opinion?
Which language is your native language and which language you are speaking as your second language?
Do you think english is difficult or some other language?
thank you in advance....
Have a nice day,everyone~~~

I really find it hard to understand and learn other Asian languages like Chinese and Korean. I know some Japanese words but I cannot converse. I took up Spanish in my school when I was elementary and HS so I can fairly understand it. I also want to learn Italian. I also took up French in College. I didn't really learn much because it was just for one semester. English is my second language and I can speak and write it fluently.

Hi jammyt,
thank you for your reply.
I am totally agree with you.
Chinese,Korean and Japanese are difficult.
Especially Chinese, people can not totally understand that language if you don't know the history of China.
And Japanese,it's so similar with Chinese, also difficult.
So,you know many languages,I'm so jealous of you.haha~~~
have a nice day!!

Here in the Philippines we have different languages in different regions but the National language is Filipino which uses Tagalog and our second language is English. In my opinion the most difficult language to learn is French and German because the way it is spelled it different from the way you say it, so it gets confusing.

Well English is my first language, but yes it is a difficult language to learn because oftimes the words are not spoken as they are written and many other languages the words are somewhat spoken as they are written like Italian for instance...so English gets my vote as the most difficult language to learn

It depends upon what your native language is and what language you are trying to learn. It is easier for an English speaker to learn Spanish or Italian than, say, Korean or Japanese, because Spanish and Italian are more closely related to English.
Of course, regardless of what language you are trying to learn, it is easiest to become fluent in it if you have the good fortune to start studying it at an early age.
