Talking while eating will actually consume time. Thanks for the response!

The funny thing is, is that i eat like a pig too. I just engulf my food and my wife always tells me to slow down and enjoy it. She says, "did you even taste it!" Is it something your born with or is it just natural bad habits, i have no idea. I think it's funny though that you brought it up.

well i am a pretty slow eater. i like to sit down and enjoy my food. i also believe in chewing my food thoroughly. in fact i chew each mouthful at least ten times before i swallow. it's good for digestion and so far i've not suffered from any indigestion. the fastest i've ever eaten a bowl of noodles is five minutes and i won't call it eating. it's basically just gobbling down my food without tasting it.

I used to eat in a hurry and always ate less and have always been skinny. Now that I am married I eat slowly (my wife cooks really well) and I eat a lot more. I have started gaining weight (in a healthy sort of way) and also enjoy eating a lot more.

I eat really fast. I keep telling myself that I need to slow down. I think it might help with the whole losing weight thing I want to do.

In the office, I can finish my meal in 15 minutes because I only eat small amount anyway. But at home it takes me around 30 minutes because I have to feast on my favorite fruits and veggies.

I actually would have to say that it depends on the meal. As a rule I like to eat slow. I like to enjoy my meal especially if it is a good one. Once in a while I will eat fast if I am in a hurry or really hungry. You are suppose to take your time when you eat. I think it helps you to digest better. I can usually finish a good meal in about twenty to twenty-five minutes.

It takes me quite a long time to finish a meal. I'm usually the first and last to leave the table. It's because I talk a lot during the meal, and I tend to hunt up something for dessert after. But I can also eat quickly when needed. I can stand or walk while eating if I'm on the go. SO I'm really flexible about my eating habits; bit in general I'm in the slow eaters group.

I eat very fast, but it is a habit that the long lines and short lunch periods of school has given me. I heard that it is better to eat food slowly, because you consume less, and feel full faster. I am working on slowing down on my pace of eating. I am not sure exactly how many minutes it takes me, but I eat faster than everyone else in my family, and they are always telling me to slow down.

When I was a small kid, my cousins and relatives would tease me for finishing my meal last. I used to eat slow and I was very skinny too. By the time I got to be in my 20's, my eating habits changed. I could finish a meal in less than 10 mins, maybe even 6 minutes. I believe this was because of the vitamin I was taking at that time.

slow... it takes me at least 20 minutes to finish a normal meal. I like to take it slow with the food and tast what I actually eat. especially when in company. Meals are a social even then!
