It sounds like you really needed it after eight years and had lot's of fun. If you don't mind me asking where did ou end up going for your vacation? I haven't been on a true vacation myself in a long time but hopefully one day I can for I want to go to a place like the Hawaii, or the carrabieans some where really nice. Yes it's hard when you have to come back to reality and the fun's over. Good to know you had lot's of fun and may you get to do it again sometime.

We went to visit my family in Germany. I haven't seen many of them in years. My parents paid for us to come. We can't afford it with three kids. They are in their late seventies and in very bad shape. They can't come to visit anymore and decided they rather see us while they still can enjoy it at least a little bit. They also wanted to see their grandkids. They had never seen our youngest before other than from pictures. The last time they had been able to visit was four years ago. Anyhow, of course they spoiled the kids way too much and provided lots of short trips to the sights in the area and amusement parks and stuff like that. It was nice to be able to show them where I come from.
Okay, I'm rambling. Hope you'll get to go on a vacation soon to the places you mentioned. Those are really nice places to visit.
