just wondering how many people do volunteer work. What type of volunteer work do you do? how often? I am a volunteer tutor for illiterate people, people trying to get their grade 12, or just trying to upgrade their skills. I do 2 hours every monday and wensday. The literacy council also wants to launch their own website, so i have volunteered to build it and maintain it for them.

Volunteering is great. Unfortunately, I'm not actively involved with anything at the moment; however, I have been involved with quite a few groups in the past (including the local literacy council).

i do volunteer a lot but i haven't tried volunteering for illiterate people but i would love to try that. i usually volunteer for environmental causes like planting trees, doing some rapid assessments of coastal areas, giving lectures to grade schoolers about the environment and doing coastal community works. cheers!

Yes I volunteer with a dog rescue group. I do many different things, and as they are needed. I have helped with activities like bake sale, and park walks. I am looking into doing a large fundraiser for the group right now. I am hopeful that it will bring in a lot of money for the group.
