"Let us come together in prayer"

I strongly believe in prayer. I had a conversation with someone before and she said prayer doesn't work but talked about positive thinking. She said think positive thoughts and thinks them about people and that's it. She said prayer doesn't do anything. I also believe in positive thoughts, but I said prayer is much like positive thinking- if a group of friends and family are thinking good thoughts for someone's health - all that positive energy is going towards them. Prayer is the same but with God's hand in it too. She didn't know what to say after that. She was my boss at the time and a very nice lady but I think I made her see prayer in a different light. For all of you that believe in prayer out there-Please pray for my son his name is Adam and he was admitted into the hospital yesterday-pray for his mental health- Thank you and I appreciate all of you who pray. I also would like for everyone to post your prayer request and we will believe and trust God together. We could all pray for each other and use this discussion as a prayer request post. God works in mysterious ways!

may god bless your son with heath.may he recover soon.as far as prayers are concerned they have power and there is no doubt in it.

True prayers has a positive enenrgy especially when we pray for others..I beleive in prayers and I pray that your son Adam will get well soon as possible.
I cannot make the ocean waves
Dash forth against the land
I cannot help the soul that craves.
But,I know One who can.
And he will bless Adam will help Adam to overcome by his illness..

Prayer is one of the things our family practices throughout each day. It's a very important part of our lives, along with our strong faith and beliefs.
Now, and in the time to come Flower,,,,,,,hang on to it and the closeness it brings.

Praise God from whom all our blessing flow, Amen!Yes I do believe in the power of prayer Flowerchild. I have been in situations that I prayed to be out of and my God, through his son Jesus, I prayed to and guess what, he brought me out of those situations. Positive thinking and prayer go hand in hand. My problem is not believing in prayer, it's the positive thinking part..........I have a problem in that area sometimes.
I am a single mother of 3 boys ages 12,13, and 18. Needless to say that I am having my fill of the teen syndrome. My 18 year old is traveling down a dark, scary path for he unfortunately followed the wrong advice from a friend and is now paying for it. I pray for him constantly, however the more prayers for him the better. I would love for you to pray for my son as I pray for Adam. There is power in prayer. We just have to believe and be patient for God is the Master and works on his time, not ours. God is good.
This is my prayer for Adam: God, may you be with Adam for whatever he may be going through. May your healing hands cover his situation and comfort him. God may you calm down whatever may be troubling him mentally. To you my dear God be the Glory and the praise. It is in my Savior's name Jesus Christ I pray....Amen!
