Bob Barker retiring.. / myLot

Do you think The Price is Right will be the same without Bob Barker? I personally think it will go down hill soon after he retires. The game wont be the same without him.

Bob Barker is retiring? This is the first I've heard that, thanks for the update. The show won't be the same without him, I wonder who the replacement will be?

yeah, he is retiring june 2007 he will be 83,says he wants to retire while he is still young..lol

I don't think it was such a great show to begin with. It's completely based on chance there is no skill involved and it is shameless marketing/product placement.

Oh, there is alot of skill involved. But it really depends on which game you get. On the ones where it's pick 1 of the 2 prices, pure chance. But guessing the prices of mutiple items from lowest to highest DOES take skill. You have to know prices. Hole in 1 (or 2) takes skill. Lots of skill games on there. Watch the show! I'm gonna miss Bob. It won't be the same without him.

I think that he will be missed terribly but he deserves to enjoy a little retirement time. I think that people will still enjoy being on the show and people at home will still enjoy playing along with the contestants.

I thought he deserved to retire years ago. He said he thought about it for last 10 yrs but loved it so much he couldnt.

I saw that on the news the other day! I agree, I think it will go downhill. He WAS that show. I know I wont watch it if they get a new person.

Teh poor man needs a break. I know he loves the show and we all love him, but he's ready to rest now. I think that the next host has big shoes to fill but who knows, maybe he/she will be even better!
