Some of you have probably had the dessert called 'Mud' that involved ice cream, orea cookie crumbles, caramel, and some other yummy stuff. My sister made a dish one time that I wish I could remember because it was sooo good! It was a recipe from a magazine. So what is the most creative, or just your favorite kind of dessert you have had that used ice cream as an ingredient? And while you are at it, how do you make fried ice cream?

Saviour-V teleports in...
Not too much creativity with my ice-cream off late...recently, since Mum bought a tub of vanilla, I tried quartering up a green apple to add a little extra crunch to it (and, subconsciously convince myself to lose weight at the same time...^_^; ).
It was nice, but it didn't quite have the same feel to it as Lecka-Lecka's Green Apple Gelato, nor McD's Green Apple-flavoured cones.
Something's missing here. I'm half-tempted to post up a topic asking for add-ons in a moment. Stop me first if it's against the rules, but I plan on saying "OK, I've got vanilla ice-cream, and green apple slices. myLotters, make it a masterpiece!"
If you don't, AmbiePam, I expect your first response to it...^_~
Saviour-V grins, and teleports out, as usual....

Here is a recipe my friend uses to make her fried ice cream:
Ingredients
4 scoops well frozen ice cream
2 eggs, beaten
50 g crushed corn flakes
oil, burning hot (for frying)
Directions
1Give the ice-cream scoops a perfect round.
2Put the 4 scoops in the deep freezer for 15 minutes.
3Give it an egg wash once you remove it from the deep freezer.
4Roll on the crushed corn flakes and give it a nice coating.
5Put it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
6Repeat the process twice.
7Heat the oil.
8Make sure it is burning hot.
9Deep fry the ice-cream quickly for 5-8 seconds.
10Make sure that the oil is very hot or the corn flakes won't get its colour.
11Now add little brandy or cognac and flambe it on the table.

Have never had fried ice cream but it does sound good.
My little brother used to make a peanut butter sandwich with a slice of chocolate ice cream ...it was excellent.

One of my favorites, though it may seem a bit odd yet basic, is a cantalouple milkshake. I remember when I told my husband about it when we first met. He looked at me very strange. That is, until he tried it! It is that good. That reminds me, I haven't made one in years, I should buy a cantaloupe the next time I go to the store so I can make it some for my family.

I have no idea how to make fired ice cream. I have had it at a restaurant before though. Every time a family member has a birthday, we used to go to a restaurant that sang happy birthday to us. they would serve us a brownie covered with fried ice cream over top of it. It was delicious.

For some off reason I find fried ice cream extremely delicious but weird at the same time.
