what do you think about Mike Portnoy???

i found a lot of bad sound. They said that he is now controlled everything in Dream Theater, about album, songs, and etc. so, what is your opinion? I still like his guy, he has good talent in drumming, and i like his style if he play drum..but i little bit agree that he's now controlled everything in DT..

Well, I feel he only a few rungs down from Neil Peart on the durmmers list, which means he's darn good.
As for control, as far as I know, even if he is, he's not abusing any power and everything seems fine with the band.
The only thing I feel is a little off-center in the band is the fact it seems that James LaBrie doesn't contribute any more then singing there. Check the linear notes in Six Degrees. EVERYTHING was written by any or all of the other members of the band. NOTHING was written by LaBrie. Heck, maybe that's why he did his own solo album.
Anyways, Portnoy is alright in the band as far as I can see. Now, they just need to make a stop in Vegas so I can go see them again.

I love Dream Theater's music, so I don't care whether he controlls the group or not. 
It doesn't make a difference to me because he hasn't changed the sound of the group, hasn't changed the quality of the group, and it's grown to be quite the great band.
Really, I thought it was all about Mr. Petrucci, myself.
