My husband and I got my mother a fish tank with a black moor goldfish and a ryukin goldfish. We have really enjoyed watching these fish and learning about aquariums. Now we are planning on getting our own tank. I was just wondering what type of fish people on here like so when it is time for us to add our fish we will have an idea about what to look for. Or if nothing else, at least some fun time looking at the different fish on the internet :)

My favorite fish are lionfish. They are absolutely incredible! They are so interesting and unique looking! Absolutely gorgeous fish!
I also really love koi, but those are usually kept in ponds not in tanks.
Some of my other favorite fish are bettas and neon tetra.

Wow those really are some neat looking fish. I bet they are saltwater fish. I think my husband and I are going to start off with a freshwater tank and then when we learn some and if we get adventurous enough we might try a saltwater tank. And if we do I will keep these in mind (except I hear they are poisonous...ouch).

I have been keeping fresh water aquariums for over 55 years and am still learning about them. I did have a salt water aquarium at one time but it was not for me. The fish that I find extremely interesting are the American cichlids. I have kept the large tank busters before and may in the future keep some but now I am keeping smaller American cichlids. The largest ones or the angelfish, festivums and some Geophagus. I also have some Honduran Red Point cichlids as well as several others.
