How do you start a interesting conversation with a stranger?

Hello everyone,
As you all know,conversation is very very important in our life,we talk with our friends,our co-workers,our parents,also,we talk with stranger sometimes.
So,don't you feel embarrassed if you can't find something interesting talk with someone?
Do you guys know any ways to start a interesting conversation with a stranger?
In my opinion,try to find something you are all interested in is important.For instances,maybe you all like shopping or swimming or playing pc games,whatever.
What's your opinion?

nice question, yah it can be awkward to talk to someone for the first time, but just smile and appear friendly. if the person is wanting to talk to u they will also probably return the smile. say hello. start talking about the weather, somthing about them. people always want to talk about themselves!!
