I'm a fan of Drew Fuller from his "Charmed" days and he was the reason why i wanted to watch the show, at first.. then i got to watch a couple of episodes and i realized that this series has a great storyline and it means a lot to a lot of people. I've read a few blogs of real army wives who said that the show really depics real life issues and they can relate... I'm not an army wife but i'm not ashamed to say that this show has moved me to tears more than a few times ^_^

I started watching the show to see how they would depict the life of an army wife. My husband is in the army and I can relate to the issues as a whole but I think the show tends to overexaggerate the issues as a whole. I don't watch this show all the time. Only if I am in the mood. Sometimes it is too much. I deal the army during the day and a lot of the time I don't like dealing with the army at night. But I think the show can show the general public many of the issues both wives and husbands deal with and the emotions that can go along with them.

I do agree that some of it gets exaggerated, but thats just hollywood. But even though some of it is exaggerated I really haven't seen anything that is totally unrealistic. I can understand not wanting to watch it all the time, even though I do, sometimes I even watch the reruns during the week, I think that if my husband were still in the military that it might be a little much sometimes. We deal with it all the time and even though I think I would still watch it all the time I can easily see how it may get to me a little to much maybe. I know when my husband was in Iraq I watched tv to get the time to pass without thinking about my worries anymore than I had too, and this show would had definatly made me break down had it been airing while he was over there. Good luck to you and your family.

I can understand that completely, that show is definatly very emotional and when you are going through it yourself it is very rough to see it at the same time. I can't believe they are training him for the next one already. I know they are always training but they usually get atleast a couple months after getting back on not much going on thats just getting a little ridiculous. Good luck I hope things go well for you and your family and that you all stay safe.

I hadn't seen the previews before it first started, but I caught it one day flipping through the channels a few weeks after the first season started, and thank god it was during a time when they were showing them all back to back, (can't think of the word for it). Anyways so I was able to cathc them all and I loved it from the start. My husband was in the marines and even though he is out now I still think about it alot especially since we still live in a marine corps town, so it is still very real to me. I just think this show does an excellent job of giving the families the credit they deserve for dealing with everything they go through. I didn't even realize that that was the guy from charmed until about 2 weeks ago, I kept thinking he seemed familiar then it just hit me one day, I was really suprised. It has brought me to tears quite a few times myself it is so real, its almost as if you were there with them feeling there pain and joy, it is wonderful. I hope it continues for a long while, even though I'm not exactly sure how well it would work after a few years, since to keep it real the characters would have to start moving eventually, and new characters don't usually work with shows, but we will see maybe if they make the change slow. Maybe bring in a new one let the viewers get used to her and relate to her before they take one away. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show!!!
