I work in the health field so i guess that is my most dangerous job. Doesn't sound too dangerous right? Well when you think of all the contagious diseases out there it is. I am constantly wearing gloves. I don't do ANY work for anyone w/o them.
I really get a kick out of your discussions.

I've had a couple of dangerous jobs. Teddy bear stuffer. That's very risky; and Rocking Horse spot painter. We had to collect the spots from children with either chicken pox or measles. Heck, those horse could kick their rockers like fury if you gave them the wrong spots. Oh, and Ostrich impersonator. Long hours with your head in the sand.

Be still my beating heart - you always manage to set it a flutter x honey! I think the most dangerous job I ever had was when I was training to work with children - you try a day in a nursery and see if you come out in one piece physically - not to mention mentally! lol xxxx

I would have to say changing nappies!!!!! Now, they say that you have to be very careful when changing a boys nappy because of their deadly aim, but I can tell you now, girls are just as bad!
Oh, and there is the dirty nappies! Talk about needing a gas mask! lol.

I had a job when I was working as a crisis resource teacher where I had to restrain kids everyday in an ED center in a school. I felt like I was going through hand to hand combat everyday. I was well paid for this position and had the support of most of the staff, but the job was not worth it.

The most dangerous, and stupid, thing I have ever done was to hitch hike in San Francisco for 6 months while I was finishing school.
I did not have a car.
I am fortunate that I never had any problems either !
I was 25 at the time.
Now I am 60.
Would I do it today?
NO WAY !

Probably teaching in the public school system, although I have had other dangerous jobs. But we had a prison exchange program where the convicts would be let out to attend classes, only they did not tell us which ones were the convicts and which were not. In the area where hubby and I taught, there were some fairly unsavory people coming in and out anyway.
The scariest person we ever had was not a con, in fact, but a dumpster diver who got really mad when we would not allow him to sleep in the storeroom attached to our college classroom. We told him they had body heat sensors installed and security would just come and throw him out, but he did not believe us. He said he has slept in dumpsters for several nights and from the crud in his hair and on his clothing and the stench we believed him.
Of course, even if there had not been a security system we would not have allowed him to spend the night anyway, but it was aw convenient and true thing to point out. Nevertheless he did get quite belligerent and he was a rather large fellow. Fortunately, not as large as the wonderful student who came to our aid, though.

My most dangerous job was working in a dockyard on the east coast of Trinidad in 1983.
I was mixing industrial coatings without the necessary protection and the boss once wanted to send me into the hold of a ship to use a jackhammer for a few hours to get rid of what he believed was a bout of laziness.
I lost two pairs of shoes, two pairs of pants and a lot of other things working there, plus I left from a constant physical fatigue that became unbearable.
If you think I'm a slacker, you don't know me, I am sure of that.
