Went from long to short hair

I think that was a very nice gesture to donate your hair on the behalf of those less fortunate. I actually prefer shorter hair on a woman myself. I am a forty year old woman who chooses to wear my hair short. It is easier to maintain and it does not look that bad anyhow. The picture you have posted of yourself looks to me like a good hair style.

I hate having long hair and I always have to pull it back to keep it off my face. When it gets to a certin point it just feels crapy and looks crapy, so I keep it above my sholders.

on my self I like short hair easy to take care of and alot cooler than long hair. at least you did it for a good cause! thanks

It's very commendable that you donated your hair for such a worthy cause. I think a lot depends on the person and what type of hair they have. Most people say they prefer long hair but if it's stringy or fuzzy I don't think it's very flattering. My hair is baby fine and thin. I tried to grow it longs many years ago, I didn't cut it for 6 years. It looked terrible, wouldn't hold a curl so I ended up always wearing it in a bun. I looked 10 yrs older. When I cut it short it looked great and I had a lot more fun styling it. I looks much thicker and will hold a curl all day. I've kept it short ever since. Great thing is everyone says how much younger I look with is short! My husband has very long hair and thick, almost to his waist. Now don't get me wrong, I've always been partial to long hair on men but he refuses to take proper care of it, just washes it and lets it dry. It's naturally wavy so it always looks messy unless I put a handful of anti-frizz balm in it and comb it out for him. If he took care of it I think it would look wonderful but I can't follow after him like he's a child. I wish he would either take care of it or cut it off. But he refuses to cut it. Oh well!

me to0, i prefer havinf the long one, but they also look good both to me, short hair makes me look younger but long hair makes me look mature. :D

First let me say thank you for doing such an honorable thing as donating your hair. My wife has done that before as well. Usually I think that long hair looks better on a female, but its also according to the female as to how a short haircut looks. I have seen some haircuts on women that I think are just too short.

I prefer longer hair on a woman. Maybe because it makes them look not only better, but more feminine The problem with long hair is that women seem to get it cut when the weather gets warmer then grumble that they cut it
