The numbers that are displayed in the parenthesis show how much posts you have made. The number may decrease overtime due to inactivity, but try to avoid that from happening. The numbers in the parenthesis and the star next to your name are related. Once you have reached 100 posts (100) you will receive a star depending on what other users rated your posts either "-" or "+". Your post actually can be easily changed by the way other users rate you. Post good content and hopefully, your rating will go higher!

That is the number of post that you have. This will not include any discussions you start on posts that you make. The star is how you rank voted by other mylotters.

A few people have already explained what it means so I won't repeat what everyone has said but I would like to welcome you to mylot. You've found a great forum to join and I know you will enjoy yourself here.

The number in parenthesis is how many post you made. The star is a rating system.
