Whats that hiding behind the Jam?

I've been known to have a few "experiments" going on in my fridge quite a few times. Since I've moved to this little house, though, I clear out the fridge no longer than every two weeks. I cannot believe the waste that I create. I just might as well not buy a week's worth of groceries and go on a day by day basis.

i'm lame. I have moods and I'll clean thru everything. Other days, things can sit there and I know i have to do it but hey...i'm really, really busy and time is a commodity that I don't have much of. A neat freak? Oh no...but I want to be...it is kind of like wishing to be a rock star.

Hehe...I have to admit I'm a fussy neat freak...but I'll confess something, and this is just between us, all right? hi rosekitty well I am sort of in themiddle. I mean I keep tract of things in the fridge most of the time, but when i am stuck mylotting I do let things slip a bit. so I have some containers yelling at me throw me out, I am old old old. lol

I used to be a neat freak and disposed of items in the fridge in a timely manner... but with three kids, who has the time, lol! Now I throw it out as I come across it. Fortunately, my family pretty much manages to empty the fridge once a week anyway. It's easier to spot those items which should be thrown out, when I try to find space again for the weekly groceries. Although, lately it's much less I need to throw away...

I'm not really a neat freak when it comes to the items in our refrigerator. But I try to regularly check if there are any items that are nearing the expiration date. And yet, there are still some, especially those that are bottled that exceeds the expiration date and they are still half-full. I remember that one time, my husband was looking for something to eat. When he saw the gallon of ice cream, he eagerly opened it. And wasn't sure if he was going to be irritated or just laugh about it. What was left of the ice cream can only fill one spoonful.It turned out that my nieces didn't even bother throwing out the almost empty container. But instead put it back and went on their merry ways!

I'm a neat freak. I clean out my fridge all the time. I never have enough room and I'm anal retentive about dates on things.

I am terrible for leaving things lurking in the back of the fridge and after last weeks shop where I had to make room I found a jar of mayonaisse frozen to the back, yikes, in the bin now though! Ellie :D

I'm bad about cleaning out the fridge, things languish there till they start to get fuzzy! I'll have a craving for an orange, for example, so I buy one and by the time I get home, I no longer want it. A month later I'll see it in the fridge and think wow, that'll taste good! Alas, it's dried up and icky.

Hi Rosekitty, Actually, I do a cleaning out of the fridge once a week. It's the pantry that I need to go through more often. We actually need a new fridge. This one isn't draining the water properly and I have to sponge all the water out of the bottom now and then. So much fun, ugh. Hugs

As long as it looks fine and smaells fine then thats ok by me,if it shows any signs of being worse for wear then turf it into the bin.But on the whole I dont do thsat too often,we tend to use pretty much all of what we buy nowadays...and we will have quite a bit of fresh garden produce soon,so that helps out no end too.

i try to go through my fridge often but hasnt happen in awhile lol..
