If you had a choice to go to Germany city Passau or Italy city Venice, which one would you choose and why???

I would love to go to Venice. I dont know anything about the other city. I know i would like Venice and riding the gondolas. I think Venice would be a beautiful city to visit. I would really like to go there someday.
