what is the definition of good listener

For me good listener are those who are active listener.they are not only listening to you but participating to you.Everyone can be a listener but it takes an active listener to have a good conversation.But in some points there are times when you need to be a passive listener because you don't like to offend somebody.

i think a good listener is the one who willing to listen to your explanation, not by his/her ear, but through his/her heart. indeed, i am surrounded by good listener. one of them is my future-wife. how about you?

To me, a good listener is someone who will take the time to listen to someone- no matter what the person is talking about. A good listener let's the other person say everything they need to say, then offers advice. If you can find one person like that, you're pretty much set for life. I haven't been quite so lucky in finding someone such as that. Well, besides family. But, it's kindof hard to talk to family about everything, you know? While you know your family will love you, no matter what, you can't always be so easily open as with a close friend. Okay, a little off subject, but, yeah. K, I'm done, lol
