came across this list of don'ts from a website. pretty useful information for those of us who holds a credit card. with credit card fraud so rampant nowadays, we couldn't really afford to let our guards down. do keep these in mind the next time you whip out that credit card. it might save you a rude shock when you receive your bill. 1. Giving out your credit card number over the phone and fax to unverified sources.
2. Passing over your credit card number at dodgy websites or over the email. These are sneaky phishing tactics at work. Don't fall for them!3. You did not sign at the back of your new card.
4. You did not shred the card when you have stopped using it
5. You leave your card lying around, and not paying due attention to them.
6. You do not keep a record of all your credit card transactions and activities. You might just be on a receiving end of a "gift" charge if you are not careful.
7. Not properly disposing your credit card receipts.
8. Writing your PIN number on your credit card. Not a wise move.
9. Lending your credit card to any Tom, D.i.c.k and Harry.

Very useful advice!
I don't even have credit cards anymore as I got in bad debt and now just pay by cahs or debit so it comes right out of my account and I always know exactly what money I have! x

oh dear i am so sorry to hear that. i hope you have managed to clear all of your debts. it's really a dangerous line credit card users are treading. without control, one can easily fall into the bottomless pit. it's so easy to get a card nowadays, with some banks even sending pre-approved cards. the list applies to debit cards as well. debit cards basically works just like credit cards. the only difference is where the money comes from. cheers and take care ;p

yes number 10 is a good one too. not just the play-doh, but machines as well. watch out if the cashier seem to swipe your card through two different machines. it's best to keep your card in sight at all times. though this can be tough when using at restaurants.
i like number 11

This is a good list. There's a lot of things that can end up in credit card and identity fraud these days. Some people are really good at doing really bad things like this! Always take any extra precautions possible to protect yourself.
