Visit Bohol! the home of the chocolate hills

I have a book out of the library at the moment that is about the Philippines. I really would love to go there, do some island hopping and snorkeling. I think that it would be best to fly to Cebu Island and get a ferry over to Bohol. It would be amazing to see the famed Chocolate Hills and take many photos of the beautiful landscape. I have heard about a little animal that can be seen on Bohol. Is it called a tasier? Do you think Alona Beach is a pleasant place to stay? Thanks.
