I know most of us would like to retire early and enjoy the fruits of our labor and savings. But I still want to know your thoughts on this. What would you consider an ideal age to retire? For me, I personally think it should be between 45-50. Earlier would be great. What about you guys? What do you think?

If I could earn enough money, I would really hope to retire at around 40, I know it's a bit early but I really want to be able to enjoy life instead of working and working all the time. The thing is I just don't know how much money I need exactly for retirement but I am definitely working towards getting retired at the age of 50.

Yep, I am hoping to retire early too. Knowing how much money you exactly need for retirement is really essential for planning. I can help you with that.

this will help you evaluate your current status and determine how much you would need to have for retirement. I hope this helps.

I own my own business, and have no plans for retirement. I'm only 74 (almost 75) and I'm working every day in the summer. Actually I work 7 out of 12 months
I spend the 5 months in the winter at my vacation home in South Texas where I grow Grapefruit and Bananas.I would not be happy if I had nothing constructive to do. Life is just what you make it. And I need to be gainfully employeed. I've noticed that those seniors who have a focus in life are happiest, and live the longest.

Very well said barehugs. Wow! 74 and you're still very active. You must be very physically healthy and fit. That's admirable Sir. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I appreciate it.

I'd like to retire when I get between 55-60. It's kinda hard to live by as well as in most of the other places in the world. I really want to save a lot so by that time, I wouldn't worry and pension will be enough. Now that I think of it, I'm more than halfway to it. I need to prepare more.

That's the usual idea in most country, even here in my country. However,I personally think 60 is a bit critical age already. I can't imagine myself running with my grandchildren at age 60 LOL! But then, if we take good care of our body and we are perfectly healthy, sure we still can do those things. Thanks for sharing your thoughts vicky.

Line of 40 I think is better because at that age you can do a lot of things compared to retirement at age of 60, WOW, too much old and even helping to take care of kid's is very difficult.
At 40 is better for me.

Yes, me too. If I have any chance to retire earlier, the better. Because I want to still be able to play with my grandchildren when I'm already retired. Thanks for sharing your thoughts buddy!
