good looking is so important, especially as a woman?

Yeah, its pretty unfair! But can we blame the people for think that way? the world has changed and so did the priorities. And i mostly blame the media for this, and they are so very careful of potraying woman beautiful and only beautiful....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Many people who don't think they are attractive at all and by mainstraem standards they are not, have a presence about them or an air about them that affords them the same advantages as the so called attractive people.

I dont think its how pretty you are or how sexy you are but how confident you are. Being pretty might give you some advantages but being confident will open a lot more doors for you. If you feel good about yourself and try to look your best then you will go a long way to fulfilling your goals. hun its not our world that does that its our selfs, i have never thought some one is better than me just because they might be a bit prettier,i have always gone and given my whole 100% in every thing i do and i never look at another person..we must love our selfs b4 others can love us.. you i say are a beautiful young lady and always remember no one is better looking than the next person, its what you think of yourself, thats all that will ever matter... hugsssss

I believe there is some more emphasis put on the attractive people out there. The celebrities of today with a lot of money spend it on enhancing their appearance and I think too much stress is put on our younger generation, namely teenage girls. I am a forty year old woman I believe of average looks. I of course always wanted to be as beautiful as the movie stars. I have learned in my life that looks are secondary to a person with good character and ethics. Outward appearance shouldn't be the only trait that everyone looks at. We all have something special inside of us no matter what we look like. A beautiful woman could become scarred at one point but her inner beauty and personal character won't be erased.

Sometimes people can be attractive not only from their looks. A person can be attractive because they are confident, they are poised, they carry themselves well, they are happy, they know what they are doing. These people I think are interesting and attractive. Prettiness doesn't last for eternity, one day we shall all grow old and wrinkly. But old people can be attractive too. I think its how you feel and carry yourself that makes you attractive.
